Discovered triggers: how to add dependencies

    Hi,

the items and triggers of the interfaces of our routers/switches are discovered via templates. However, since this devices are interconnected, I would like to add dependencies to those interfaces if one device goes down but since this are discovered triggers I cannot modify them. Is there a way to add dependencies to some of the triggers?

    Thank you

    Hello!

Trigger dependencies are possible to configure on trigger prototype discovery level: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...evel_discovery

      Hello Everyone,

I'm running into this problem and a discovery trigger prototype will not help me, at least I don't think it will. I am using a template from Zabbix Share called "Template SNMP Ruckus Zonedirector" Each AP has the building number that it is located at, which is pulled by SNMP. The template discovery makes these triggers. I want to make them dependent on the switches they are connected to. Which is a separate host.

So I was hoping to go to triggers sort by building name using the "Name" search option, mass update to set all AP triggers to the switch but it will not let me. It's blanked out. Is there a work around? or a feature request for this?

          Hey Dimir,

I don't think host dependency is what I need though and it looks like its already planned for v5.0 I have a single host which is the AP controller. The controller has 198 items on it, one for each AP. I need to set X amount of APs to Switch A(Which is another host), etc.
