      If you cannot telnet to port 10050, then it means you do not have a program running that will listen to commands sent to that port.

      Is the zabbix agent running on that computer?

          internal pc 192.168.1.10

          internet

          Work Router port forwarding 84.25.110.37 port 10050 to my zabbix server 172.17.6.217

          -----------

          telnet from zabbix server to localhost on port 10050 = OK

          telnet from other PC over the internet like telnet <external ip work> 10050 = OK

          Telnet from home telnet <external ip work> 10050 = connection can not be established...

          I even have my zabbix agent working at home and my server says its not available

          Code:

            you need to port forward port 10050 on your home router to your internal pc at 192.168.1.10 port 10050

            The server needs no port forwarding in this case as the agent is not contacting the server, as the server is contacting the agent.

            Also make sure that your PC is not blocking that port with its own firewall software.

              I dont have a firewall on my pc right now, and my windows firewall is shut down.

              In my smc router have the following configuration:

              Nat - Virtual server (You can configure the Barricade g Wireless Router as a virtual server so that remote users accessing services such as the Web or FTP at your local site via public IP addresses can be automatically redirected to local servers configured with private IP addresses. In other words, depending on the requested service (TCP/UDP port number), the Barricade g Wireless Router redirects the external service request to the appropriate server (located at another internal IP address).)

              Code:
              Private IP Service Port Type Enabled
              192.168.1.10 10050 tcp and udp yes
              192.168.1.10 10051 tcp and udp yes

                  Change your zabbix_agent.conf file, server line on your windows PC to be
                  server=127.0.0.1,193.173.52.230 and restart the service

                  From your PC running the agent, can you "telnet 192.168.1.10 10050" and get a response?

                  If so, then are you sure that your server IP is definitely 193.173.52.230?

                  Assuming the external IP address of your PC is x.x.x.x, can you, from the server now "telnet x.x.x.x 10050" and get a response?

                      ...meaning?

                      Can you, from the windows box, connect to the agent via telnet?

                      If so, can you connect via the server?

                        Right, just looked in more detail.

                        Code:
                        #server=193.173.52.230:10050
                        #LogFile=C:\tmp\zabbixagent.log

                        Server=193.173.52.230
                        ServerPort=10050
                        #Hostname=193.173.52.230
                        ListenPort=10051
                        #ListenIP=10.239.18.13
                        #StartAgents=5
                        #DisableActive=1
                        #DebugLevel=4
                        LogFile=C:\tmp\zabbixagent.log
                        #Timeout=3
                        Some of your settings are incorrect. Compare them with the zabbix_agend.conf file from the agent distribution, or fix it by making these changes:

                        Change:
                        Server=193.173.52.230
                        To:
                        Server=127.0.0.1,193.173.52.230

                        Change:
                        ServerPort=10050
                        To:
                        #ServerPort=10051

                        Change:
                        ListenPort=10051
                        To:
                        #ListenPort=10050

                        and restart the service.

                        - Paul
