Upgrade restored database

I have a database dump (Mysql) from a 3.0 install that I would like to restore to a 3.2.6 installation. After the restore I get the error The frontend does not match Zabbix database. Current database version (mandatory/optional): 3000000/3000000. Required mandatory version: 3020000. Contact your system administrator.

Is there a way for me to just update the database on the new server? Sorry, I am pretty new to Zabbix.

Please try starting Zabbix server.

When zabbix_server is started, the database upgrade process is automatically executed.

That is exactly what happened. There was an issue with the server connecting to the database. Once I fixed that it did the upgrade.
