I have a question regarding timeout behavior in Zabbix (version 7.4.8).
For one of my items, I have set a Timeout override to 7 seconds, however during a recent incident an alert was triggered due to a timeout occurring much earlier. In the logs I can see the following message:
"Cannot perform request: Operation timed out after 4271 milliseconds with 0 bytes received"
In practice, it looks like the connection is being terminated after ~4.2 seconds, even though the timeout should be 7 seconds.
Could someone explain what might be causing this?
