    Zabbix 3.4 dashboard

I just upgraded to Zabbix 3.4 and at first I thought it was broken, but I came to realize that this is the new look.

Although I welcome the possibility of customizing the interface I'm not happy.
I just played with the customization to get back the old dashboard, but that is not really possible.

I would really like to (optionally) have the old dashboard back.
If I create something similar using the editor, the end result is a page with a lot of space wasted and much less info.

Could we get a page with just the old dashboard???

I'm undecided on whether I like the dashboard, it does look powerful.

I completely dread attempting to train some of my users on the new dashboard.

You can probably copy the old dashboard from the old version somehow if you really want. The new dashboard is awesome.

If you want to get old dashboard - you just can combine the same widgets as it was before.

          Chrome dashboard issues

I just upgraded a test server from 3.2.x to 3.4 and the dashboard is completely unusable in Chrome browser: Widgets are overlapping and spacing is all messed up. Even trying to create a new dashboard is troublesome.
          Looks&works OK in Firefox.
I hope there's a fix for this soon: I was hoping to upgrade some production servers soon, but this is a blocker.

Hold shift and refresh. I had the same thing, pretty sure it's just a local cache issue.

              1) Chrome has been OK for me in 3.4, not live, but with a converted DB.

              2) Can anyone explain filtering in the new dashboard? It seems that each user, each widget can have it's own filtering. If they use or create another dashboard, do the same filters apply to the same widgets?

              3) I had personal filtering before conversion, it doesn't seem to migrate.

HAH! OMG you were right. I've only been doing this about 15yrs why didn't I think of that. I DID clear cookies, but forgot to clear cache.
                Looks normal now, thanks.

The problem with the new dashboard is that one will end up with a lot of margin space. I used to be able to see everything I wanted on a normal monitor (if there aren't a lot of problems). Now I always need to scroll down.
Because the new dashboard is more powerful I can now make the main dashboard without the low priority problems (information and undefined). I'm now placing these separate on the bottom of the page.
This way I'm compensating the waste of space that's introduced in the new dashboard.

If I make a window with only a few rows I will not be able to see all the problems when there are many...
If the window would resize with the amount of rows I would want at least 30 rows before it starts showing its window scroll bar.

I think a lot of this lost space can be regained if the window could shrink if there are less items (so less rows). This is what the previous dashboard did and isn't doing now.
I do think this needs to be an optional feature as it may not be wanted in some layouts.

I'm not disliking it anymore, but I do hope it will be improved.

I also want to be able to lose the 2 top rows where I can select the dashboard and choose the dashboard.
Because I don't use Zabbix multi-user I wouldn't know, but is everybody getting those rows even if they are just viewers???
Maybe I should just create a new user for viewing instead of using the admin account.

You can make that yourself like I did.
                      Just start tinkering with edit

The problem with the result you get is that it contains too much whitespace.
The windows should at least be dynamic (optionally)
