    perf_counter unsupported after reboot

We had a few Exchange 2016 perf_counters go unsupported after the windows systems were patched and rebooted. They had worked prior to the reboot. We happened to restart the zabbix agent on a few machines and they start working, so we restarted the agent on all problem systems.

I think that at boot, the zabbix agent probably started before Exchange was operational and those perf counters weren't available, but they should have retried after the 20 minute time out.

    Any ideas?

For now, we plan to just restart the agent if these are unsupported. (Zabbix, heal thy self!)

There is a command in windows to rebuild the perfmon "libraries". Probably do that. That usually fixes what you're describing.

I don't recall the command as it has been a few years since I've needed it. Google.
