Fresh install zabbix 3.4.1 on ubuntu 16 and I have PROBLEM

Hi,

I am new user with zabbix and I just finished step by step guide "How to install zabbix."

Couple of minutes after fresh install I got Problem!

Zabbix agent on Zabbix server is unreachable for 5 minutes

I haven't installed any host and this error is for it's own zabbix server

Under configuration and Hosts is following

Get value from agent failed: cannot connect to [[127.0.0.1]:10050]: [111] Connection refused

Any help?

I red some post and understand I have to change some default values, but I am not sure where and what to change.

Have you installed the Zabbix agent?
And did you start Zabbix agent?

No, do I have to install agent on so called management server? I have previous experience with SCOM and it installed agent when setting up server.

I think in this case it was there by defautl as well under hosts and ZBX went red in 5 min.

So you must to install Zabbix-Agent on your Ubuntu instance, otherwise you can't collect internal metrics.

sudo apt install zabbix-agent
sudo systemctl enable zabbix-agent
sudo service zabbix-agent start
