    Max_Used_Connections Issue

    Hello,

I'm Using Zabbix 3.2.1 with a Mysql database (on an other server)

Since yesterday, every 30 minutes I have the error message "Unable to connect to database: Too many connections" and I have to restart the mysqld service.

The default value of Max_used_connections was 151 so I increased to 250.

The problem now is that when I start reaching around 200-250 connections, Zabbix is showing the message "Zabbix Server is not running"
and I'm not able to start the zabbix_server service anymore.

The only way I can start it again is by setting the Max_used_connection value to default.

I'd suggest increasing max_connections on your MySQL server to something higher than 250. You might want to set it to 1000 in the my.cnf just to be safe and restart mysql.

1 database connection is used per Zabbix-Server process. Maybe you are running a lot more than you need. Frontend interaction requires further connections. Allowing a vast number of connections is usually not considered an ideal solution. You might want to try connection pooling!
