deleted hosts pop up in Zabbix again

Hi folks,

I have about 40 hosts in Zabbix that cannot be deleted. They pop up again within 24h, and then Zabbix complains that the hosts are down. At least Zabbix agrees that the hosts cannot be pinged.

The discovery uses ICMP ping for an IP range. Existing hosts are discovered and added as expected.

I remember having read about some forgotten items in the database, but I couldn't find it again. That was years ago.

Zabbix is 3.0.7 (Debian). Every helpful comment is highly appreciated.

Same here. They keep getting discovered again. I delete them and they pop up on the next discovery run with ip addresses they haven't got.

This might be a performance issue with the database (mysql). After some optimizations the ghosts are gone.
