    regexp

    Hi,

    Struggling with regular expressions.
I want some windows services not auto discovered. The current regular exp is:
    ^(isaHelperSvc|gpsvc|MapsBroker|Net Driver HPZ12|Pml Driver HPZ12|SkypeUpdate|WbioSrvc|sppsvc|MMCSS|gupdate|Sy smonLog|clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32|clr_optimiz ation_v4.0.30319_32)$

I want, for example, the WpnUserService_123456 in this list. The number behind the service name is variable per workstation. How to I handle this?

Think i got it by creating a second rule:
    ^\A(WpnUserService|OneSyncSvc|CDPUserSvc)

        Hi,
In administration->general-> select regular expression and create a second rule at "Windows service names for discovery"

              Hi SchylgeICT,

Thank you for your prompt response.
But still showing Problems related to OneSyncSvc_, WpnUserService_ and CDPUserSvc_. Attached image with the errors.
              Could you help me?

These are the configuration for Windows service names for discovery:
              Windows service names for discovery
              1 » ^\A(WpnUserService|OneSyncSvc|CDPUserSvc)$ [Result is FALSE]
              2 » ^(MMCSS|gupdate|SysmonLog|clr_optimization_v2.0.50 727_32|clr_optimization_v4.0.30319_32)$ [Result is FALSE]

I think your hosts services were allready disovered? Delete the host and reinsert it again. Are of that helps.

BTW, you might want to check if "Keep lost resources period" is still set to the default 30 days under templates--> windows template-->discovery-> service discovery rule.
