Any guidance on completing a minor upgrade from 3.4.x to 3.4.x.x - specifically is it necessary to recompile & 'make install', then copy all web frontend files from ../zabbix/frontend/php/*

What is your OS ?
Have you installed zabbix from sources or packages ?

If you have installed from sources, you will need to recompile zabbix-server, and copy all zabbix web files
