    Zabbix V 3.4.5 - agent often "unreachable for 5 minutes"

    Hi,

    after update the server Zabbix with version 3.4.5 I have noted often this error.. "Zabbix agent on server1.marisa.it is unreachable for 5 minutes" and BEFORE 30 second return online..

    BEFORE.. look at this entry in the problem view:

    01:01:30 Average 01:01:23 RESOLVED server1.marisa.it Zabbix agent on server1.marisa.it is unreachable for 5 minutes 7s

    Seems the detection time was 01:01:30 and the resolution time was 01:01:23 (seems resolved BEFORE occurred)

      thanks for you time...

      My server agent locatedon server had work fine until have upgraded my Zabbix.
      I don't have updated my agent on my (controlled from Zabbix ) server.. can be this? Many server have this trouble.. I have find it on Zabbix report.

      In add.. have noted time when problem occurred and time when problem is solved: is wrong of are me in 'wrong'?

        I have the same problem. In my case, this applies to zabbix server and agents version 3.4.6.

        The problem occurs always around 06:25:00

        Code:
        Problem has been resolved at 06:25:07 on 2018.01.22
        
        Problem started at 06:29:30 on 2018.01.22
        I believe that it may have a relationship with the daily logrotate, which takes place at 06:25:00

        I checked and Logrotate files have not changed lately.

          Hi, I encountered the same problem with an agent unavailable trigger using Zabbix v3.2.6:

          First Problem:
          Problem started at 2018/02/16 01:03:00
          Recovered at 2018/02/16 01:02:57
          Duration 3s

          Second Problem (this one is actually ok):
          Problem started at 2018/02/22 18:07:57
          Recovered at 2018/02/22 18:12:57
          Duration 5min

          The second problem is actually ok (agent was down), I mention it because this behaviour affected an IT Service that uses this trigger in the following way:

          IT Service Problem period from 2018/02/16 01:03:00 (start of first problem) to 2018/02/22 18:12:57 (recovery of second problem), total of 6d 17h 9m.

          Any ideas?

          I don't have access to the host agent log.

            ...exist a method for de-sensibilize Zabbix with host agent-based? More retry.. More Timeout.. I have tons of '...agent unreachable..' followed by "RESOLVED"..

              The cause of my problem was that the zabbix server mysql backup took too long.
              I was making a backup by mysqldump, which locks the tables. I am now using xtrabackup which is fast and doesn't lock the database.
