    I would suggest upgrading the memory to at least 4 Gigs or more and up the memory parameters for MySQL as shown in the usr/share/doc/mysql-server-5.0.27/my-innodb-heavy-4G.cnf example file that comes with MySQL.

      The history tables only use about 500mb.
      The trends table is about 150mb.

      It would seem to me the amount of system RAM is sufficient as well as the my.cnf configuration for something that small.
