    What am I missing -- set up multiple agent

    I have 1 zabbix server and one web server that has zabbix agent, both works fine. I want to add another web server as host, but just can't get it to work

    here is my zabbix_agentd.conf from the second web server host,
    just to confirm, i don't need to do anything on the server itself correct? I was reading all the post but it wasn't so clear where the configuration should be,on the server or on the host, when comes down to zabbix_agentd.conf as server directory has this file too.

    anyway, here is the config file.
    Error is the
    Get value from agent failed: cannot connect to [[{server IP where is agent}]:10050]: [4] Interrupted system call

    The port is open, confirmed with packets from server to host and host to server. Agent is running as well from the status

    Do i need to have different ports for my 2 agent? what's wrong in my config?
    Thanks in advance

    Your config is wrong. Either use passive or active checks not both simultaneously

    Code:
    ServerActive=my zabbix server id
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Hostname=(hostname of my agent web server iZrj9cfmuy6ltvmrwx1onhZ)

      hey, i commented out the all the active section, still no luck

      On the dashboard my server is not reachable , it's been like an hour
      but then if i go to monitoring - latest data , it does show actions, can't get any data in the graph either

        Can you telnet from the server the agent port 10050?

        Code:
        telnet <agent-ip> 10050

          Hi,

          first thing - Zabbix agent CAN work in both active/passive modes simultaneously

          the following line specifies PASSIVE mode settings (from which IP accept incomming connections)
          Code:
          Server=(zabbix server ip)
          the following lines are for ACTIVE checks only - to which address send data
          ServerActive=my zabbix server id
          Hostname=(hostname of my agent web server iZrj9cfmuy6ltvmrwx1onhZ)
          specifies to which IP send data (there must be IP or DNS name of Zabbix server in ServerActive field

          Second -

          Get value from agent failed: cannot connect to [[{server IP where is agent}]:10050]: [4] Interrupted system call
          that means that PASSIVE check from server to agent is not working.

          Can you telnet from server to agent port 10050 ?
          What is you timeout settings in Zabbix server conf ? maybe the connection just timeouted, you can try to increase this setting (zabbix server restart required)

          Regards,
          Kaspars

            Yes, i have commented out all the active part, i have one web server agent that's active, the second one will be passive and that's where i'm having trouble with.

            I connect the the port from server to agent and the other way, both successful

            oot@iZ*xaZ:/etc/zabbix# nc -v -z 47*8 10050
            Connection to 47*8 10050 port [tcp/zabbix-agent] succeeded!

                Hi,

                Just as another troubleshooting step., you can launch the zabbix_get utility from Zabbix server to test some passive item on agent side

                It must be installed first (yum install zabbix-get in CentOS)

                Regards,
                Kaspars
