    Error updating host

trying to update a host (configuration -> Hosts) and getting an error

    Page received incorrect data
    Details
Field "Agent or SNMP or JMX or IPMI interface" is mandatory.

Zabbix server was recently upgraded from 2.4 to 3.4, but did not change agents on clients (doc said didn't need to unless something new was needed).

There are buttons to add an IP, snmp, etc, but they don't do anything and on old release the IP was filled in automatically.

Something missed in config or do agents need to be updated?

After more checking ID's which are Zabbix super admins are not able to update the host records - only the Admin account is able to do it. So far i can not find any differences between the users and Admin.

I set this up once and didn't encounter this issue. Now that I'm trying on Debian 9, I can't seem to edit fields that matter - adding an IP for Agent, or adding a Group for a new user. Basically any fields that would prevent a thing from being created or updated I can't touch, and that's signing in as the regular created Admin account.

Did you ever figure out what gives with this?
