Hi,
I have some remote sites that I monitor using proxy local to the site. Unfortunately the internet connection is very unstable, and will sometimes go offline for short periods. When this happens I receive alerts for every host about them being unreachable. I would much rather have a single alert about the internet connection.
What is the best practice to avoid this issue? I had configured all trigger at the remote site to use the zabbix agent availability on the proxy, but that doesn't seem to work well because it is only polled every 5 minutes.
I was considering setting up an icmp monitor at the HQ site, and then have all triggers at the remote site use that as a dependency. Is there a better way?
Thanks!
