    Zabbix Time

Has anyone ran into issues with Zabbix and Daylight Savings Time Change?

We are running FreeBSD 5.4 with Zabbix 1.1.6. The system is retrieving time/date from NTP. System reflects the new time. Other applications reflect the new time. Zabbix is showing 1 hr off.

After system reboot Zabbix was started and it was retrieving new data with the correct time but after a few minutes it went back to being 1 hr off.

    Any Ideas?

Yes I am seeing the same problem. We are running Zabbix ZABBIX 1.1.2 on FreeBSD 6.0 with the DST patches installed. System time and other applications show correct DST time but zabbix logs, events & graphs are all an hour off.

    Any ideas?

      Greetings,

We have the same problem on all of our Zabbix servers. We found that stopping and restarting Zabbix clears it up.

Ours is working now. I had previously restarted zabbix which did not fix the problem. I then found a couple of other apps which also were not using the correct time. I reinstalled /usr/ports/misc/zoneinfo/, set the time zone, set the time via ntp, rebooted the server and now it's working. I'm not certain what the problem was but I suspect that the zoneinfo package was only partially installed somehow.

Hmm, I am not quite sure why this happens. ZABBIX uses seconds since 1970 for all time related data. Perhaps correct timezone in php.ini could fix this?

I'm just searching the forums for a similar though quite minor error.

I've just created a new screen which includes a clock. I've noticed that it is running about 27 seconds behind the time on the server which is controlled by ntp.

            Can anyone explain why?

The clock displays either ZABBIX server time or local one. Please check your settings.
