1. I had Create a trigger simple check {hostname:icmpping.last(0)} = 0.
2. configuration tab --> IT Services.
3. create a test service sla_parent
3.1 name SLA_parent.
3.2 status calculation min/max any combination is accepted.
3.3 show SLA YES.
3.4 acceptable SLA 60%.
3.5 link to triger NO.
3.6 sort order 0 default.
4. Then I create a second service to be a child service.
4.1 name ping status hostname.
4.2 status calculation do not calculate.
4.3 show SLA YES.
4.4 acceptable SLA 60%.
4.5 link to triger YES.
4.6 trigger hostname ping status.
4.7 short order 0 default.
5.then we have to link the services - link to
5.1 service 1 sla parent.
5.2 service 2 ping status hostname.
5.3 soft link YES.
this is fmy test and it works fine!
this is only an SLA about a simple ping status.
do not expect results at the same time you put SLA on.
check the dates that sla is giving you on the screen you may have to wait a week to take the values!
Thanks for the steps, one question I have is when you have a planned maintenance and don't want it to affect the SLA, do you just disable that trigger? then turn it back on after maintenace?
