Error while connecting to host

Hello,

I have recently installed Zabbix server in one of my Linux boxes and installed Zabbix Agent in one of the Windows Boxes. The Zabbix server installation was successful and it is running fine. However, the connection to the Host with Zabbix Agent is refused. I tried to restart the Zabbix Agent but in vain. I even tried to telnet the port 10051 of the host from the Linux box, but I still get connection refused. Can anybody tell me where I could be wrong?

Having the same problem here. Running Ubuntu 6.06 and the zabbix_agentd process runs without errors, but it doesn't appear to open the ports. (running netstat -nvp)

Is the zabbix agent process running on your windows host? Have you checked the error log to see why it may not be starting?

Running the command

zabbixw32.exe -check-config

will tell you if there is an error in the configuration file that may be preventing the host from starting.
