1.1.6 Upgrade, Very High CPU Load

After upgrading from 1.1.1 to 1.1.6 I am suddenly seeing significanlty higher CPU loads on my server. I used to average a load of about 2 pretty much all day and now I see loads of over 10 on a regular basis (occaisionally over 20). I have housekeeper set to 12 hours and I am pretty sure I can see where that is kicking off. I don't think that is my problem. I used to rarely see CPU loads over 4, now I rarely see loads under 4.

My zabbix queue used to be fairly short, I rarely had anything over 5 seconds. Now I always have a 5 second queue and I often see 30 second queue numbers.

Other that housekeeping, were there any other significant changes that I should look at to track this down?

Wow ... I have a feeling 1.1.1 and 1.1.6 are quite different.

I do know that housekeeping had some issues long ago. I'm not sure when it was fixed. Is your database (history table) HUGE? My database just hit its smallest size recently because of this bug... and the amount of stuff i monitor is growing, not shrinking.

Nov - i had 9.5 million rows in the history table.
Mar 10 - rock bottom at 2.9 million rows.
Today - 3.6 million

history_str and trends tables slowly grow, but the history table was insane.

So, is your history table now shrinking when before it was growing?

I don't have the proper data to be able to answer the question about the history table. Over the weekend I ended up downgraging the server back to 1.1.1 because I was having problems getting checks completed and it was causing me to be paged on false positives. I had been having this problem periodically but after I got paged at 1am, 3am and 5am I just replaced the existing installtion with the backup I made. Everything is fine again. I will have to get some things together and try this upgrqade again later, probably to 1.1.7 now that it is available.
