    windows agent start problems

On a citrix server I have trouble starting the agent as a service.
There is no C:\ drive, this is M:\. But I do a "subst c: m:\" at startup.

The point is that when I issue this check-config all is ok:
    C:\PROGRA~1\zabbix>ZabbixW32 check-config
    Checking configuration file:

    Using configuration file "C:\zabbix_agentd.conf"
    Configuration file OK
Then starting it in standalone mode, also OK:
    C:\PROGRA~1\zabbix>ZabbixW32 standalone
    Using configuration file "C:\zabbix_agentd.conf"
    Configuration file OK

*** Zabbix Win32 agent operational. Press ESC to terminate. ***

    C:\PROGRA~1\zabbix>ZabbixW32 standalone
    Using configuration file "C:\zabbix_agentd.conf"
    Configuration file OK

      possible solution

      Hi,

I recently had this same problem while I was starting "zabbixw32.exe" it was asking for "zabbixAgentw32". This was on Windows 2000.

So i went into "services.msc" (can be executed by typing services.msc in Start> Run). Then when the window opened... i went into the place where it shows "Zabbix Agent".

Right click on it and get into the properties of it and you can see the exact path that the agent is trying to access. Keep a copy of the config file and agent EXE file at the path shown in the porperties of the Zabbix service.

when i mapped them correctly... it worked fine... hope this helps

          Config file

Do you want a copy of the agent config file? Or you want to know know to get the path of the config file being accessed?

If you have a copy that would be great my Linux guy is not here and i keep seeing refrences to the opt folder and i do not have access to the zabbix install folder just through the browser.

Here is the copy of the Zabbix Windows Agent. Rename as ".conf" file

You must correct the LogFile path in order to use the default zabbix_agentd.conf configuration file.
