    After Upgrading NET-SNMP

    After I updated to: net-snmp.i386 5.3.1-14.fc6,net-snmp-libs.i386 1:5.3.1-14.fc6, Zabbix could not find the : zabbix_server: error while loading shared libraries: libnetsnmp.so.*

    So I recompiled Zabbix, and now I get:

    008873:20070508:141601 Query::select a.alertid,a.mediatypeid,a.sendto,a.subject,a.messa ge,a.status,a.retries,mt.me
    diatypeid,mt.type,mt.description,mt.smtp_server,mt .smtp_helo,mt.smtp_email,mt.exec_path,a.delay,mt.g sm_modem from
    alerts a,media_type mt where a.status=0 and a.retries<3 and (a.repeats<a.maxrepeats or a.maxrepeats=0) and a.nextc
    heck<=1178651761 and a.ackuntil<=1178651761 and a.mediatypeid=mt.mediatypeid order by a.clock

    008873:20070508:141601 Query failed:Unknown column 'a.ackuntil' in 'where clause' [1054]

    008885:20070508:141601 server #8 started [Trapper]
    008869:20070508:141601 One server process died. Shutting down...
    008869:20070508:141601 ZABBIX server is down.

    Has anyone had this issue?

    It looks like something related to James patches.

        a solution maybe

        find / | grep libnetsnmp.so

        check its symbolic link using "ls -l" command
        example mine >>> libnetsnmp.so.3

        u need to do a -ln manual link if needed.

        if cannot solve still, move BOTH files to required DIR for zabbix to find them when ./configure --enable-net-snmp

        maybe put them in /usr/lib or /usr/local/lib or something...

        mine happened coz of "symbolic link" problem when i do a net-snmp-5.4 installation. i tink the new and existing version 5.1 conflicted...
