Unable to use default login, returned to login page with no error

I have recently installed ver. 1.3.6 and everything seems to be working fine. The server status reports as Running with no errors in the server or the agent login. When I go to use the Admin interface it just returns me to the login page with no errors and still showing as Guest logged in. The database is up and running which shows that user in it. I can try logging in with a random password and say's that invalid user/pass so it is recognizing the login. Does anybody have any ideas or know if this has happened before?

    Thanks,
    Robert Raver

This was due to using IE 7, also the initial Zabbix web interface where you accept the GPL doesn't work. It will forward you back to the Introduction page.

Please try 1.3.8 and report if it works.

I haven't got to upgrade and try it but plan on doing it soon.

I have been, I just wanted to see if IE 7 would work due to the amount of people from different groups that will be looking at it. If we only had to use firefox it would be a big road block

Hi, did you find a solution how to use IE 6/7 with Zabbix 1.3.x

I just installed Zabbix 1.4 in a test environment but i'm experiencing the same problem. Firefox works ok but IE 6/7 no luck. I can't login and during the setup phase i couldn't except the agreement.

I hope somebody can help so we can use IE7 as this is already disributed to my colleages.

              E.

Konqueror (3.5.7) also has this problem. It's not that I can't log in, it's just that the page doesn't change. It apparently tries to redirect to itself or something.

Are you sure the system time on the server Zabbix is running on is correct? I've had this error before and the time was off by a few hours; setting the correct time corrected the login error.

The best thing that works best is porting the ie6 and ie7 engine to work togather, this will give you the best of both worlds.

                      Solved

                      Hi PSmith,

Thanks for the info! I never guesed it was a time issue but after syncing the time i'm able to login to zabbix 1.4.

                      Thx E.
