    SNMP OID with String fails

    Using the following OIDs in Zabbix fails:

    1.3.6.1.4.1.89.35.1.12.1.2."AX1-Tunnel1"
    1.3.6.1.4.1.89.35.1.12.1.2.\"AX1-Tunnel1\"

    net-snmp tools just do what i want:

    snmpget -c public -v 2c <ip> 1.3.6.1.4.1.89.35.1.12.1.2.\"AX1-Tunnel1\"

    result:
    RADWARE-MIB::rsWSDSerStatAttUsersNum."AX1-Tunnel1" = INTEGER: 12

    even snmpget -c public -v 2c <ip> RADWARE-MIB::rsWSDSerStatAttUsersNum.\"AX1-Tunnel1\"

    works like a charm
    RADWARE-MIB::rsWSDSerStatAttUsersNum."AX1-Tunnel1" = INTEGER: 12

    How can I get Zabbix to do the right thing?

    thank you in advance
    toph

    edit: add zabbix server version

    ZABBIX Server (daemon) v1.1.4

    edit: add libnetsnmp

    zabbix:/etc/zabbix# ldd /usr/bin/snmpwalk
    libnetsnmp.so.9 => /usr/lib/libnetsnmp.so.9 (0xb7e87000)

    zabbix:/etc/zabbix# ldd /usr/sbin/zabbix_server
    libnetsnmp.so.9 => /usr/lib/libnetsnmp.so.9 (0xb7c2d000)

      Just wondering, what the 1.3.6.1.4.1.89.35.1.12.1.2.\"AX1-Tunnel1\". Is it a reference by port name?

        1.3.6.1.4.1.89.35.1.12.1.2.\"AX1-Tunnel1\".
        1.3.6.1.4.1.89.35.1.12.1.2.\"AX2-Tunnel1\".
        1.3.6.1.4.1.89.35.1.12.1.2.\"AX3-Tunnel1\".
        1.3.6.1.4.1.89.35.1.12.1.2.\"AX4-Tunnel1\".

        im not sure

        the tree is as follows:

        rndApplications.rsServerDispatcher.rsWSDServerStat Table.rsWSDSerStatName
        where rsWSDSerStatName is AX1-Tunnel1
        where rsWSDServerStatTable is q SEQUENCE OF RsWSDServerStatEntry
        where rsWSDSerStatName ist DisplayString(SIZE(1,30))

        rndApplications.rsServerDispatcher.rsWSDServerStat Table.wsWSDSerStatATtUsersNum

        P.S.

        please find attached the mib file. Mind the format is NOT ZIP but GZIP (just the upload did not want to accept *.gz as extension)

          Can this be considered a bug within zabbix? Where can I file a bug?

            I don't think so. ZABBIX does not have to support functionality supported by snmpwalk.

              nor does it support the funcionality of snmpget?

              ..it is at least using the same library from net-snmp, right?
