Hi,
I tried to add 2 types of triggers : 1. icmpping 2. snmp
both were constantly in queue. for no. 1 : I installed fping and checked that the zabbix user can run it, the item is active and the host is monitored.
also in zabbix_suckerd.conf I have this line : FpingLocation=/usr/local/sbin/fping
for no. 2 : I first did a snmpget on the OID I entered and the zabbix user was able to do this.
when I looked at the log file of suckerd the only event there was
Error: snmp_open() , over and over again.
the events in the queue show that the next time is 1/1/1970
any idea why this is happening?
FIXED ( partially )
the snmp works when I supply an IP for the host. The fping still doesn't work although I did what I wrote above
MANAGED
first of all I had a mistake when inputing the icmpping test ( not using simple checks ). Then after rebooting ( the machine crashed ... ) everything seems to work
Thanks,
Shai
