    Frontend error: unknown database type!

After trying to install zabbix from the source I gave up and used Yumex/YUM and it installed first time (I must say I am happy to see that it is now included in one of the yum repos) but gives me a slight problem, when I point my web-browser to zabbix it says:

    [ERROR: Unknown database type.]

    How do I combat this?

It seems that you have no $DB_TYPE set in conf/zabbix.conf.php. Did you run ZABBIX Install Wizard?

Yes I did (I think), that file you are taking about though has this content only:

      # This file is a place-holder. When you run through the zabbix
      # web setup, a proper configuration file should be generated
      # for you to drop in this location.

Thanks a lot for responding Alexei, I love this product even though I have never got it to work before I have seen it in action on another machine.

Is there something I have missed, I am hoping it will use the mysql DB
