    problem with alert

    Hi,

    there is a problem with alert.
    I set up 2 media types (mail and winpopup), and create an action when an host is down. I have only admin user assigned to both alerts.

    When trigger is true, i get 2 mails and 2 winpopup.
    If i disabled mail or winpopup, i get one mail and one winpopup.

    i use CentOS 4 / postresql 8 / lastest SVN.

      Why "both alerts"? You need only one alert (action). It will send a message to both Winpopup and Email. I just re-tested this, it works as expected, no duplicates.

          winpopups only LAN

          sorrie got to dig out this old thread. being interested in instant popup alerts But so far i tink Jabber support is still not 100% stable yet so i want to try SAMBA and WinpopUps

          Q: is WInpopups only for LAN? meaning if my Zabbix server is stationed in a data centre, i cannot recevie pop-ups from my office? (unless i use Jabber)
