    Database corruption...

    Hi all.

I have read with interest the posts regarding the now famous "Database corrupted, missed default user 'guest'" problem.

I am having that problem and am unable to clear it.
I have followed steps and patches detailed here and in the wiki to no avail...

I am sure I must be missing something so any direction someone can point me in will help.

I have Zabbix installed on CentOS 4.4 it did complain a few times on attempting to install but after fixing the errors and missing deps the install seemed to work without problems.

I have a MySQL database hosted on another server. I created the user and and database. I populated the database with the three schema files as directed.
There was an error in the mysql.sql file that is resolved in a post.

still upto this point all seems good.

    copied/created/edited the relevent config files.

I created the local zabbix user and launched the zabbix_server and agentd

    no errors in logs.

when I launch the web frontend the configuration works fine, set the db and it communicates with it.
    Green accross the board.

After the config I get a blank page that keeps refreshing and the address and httpd logs indicate Database%20corrupted,%20missed%20default%20user%20 'guest'

help please... what have I missed.
I have removed all files and the DB several times. then started again perfoming the edits first so there is no errors.

    TIA.

    Paul
