    zabbix.conf.php

    I imagine that this file has something to do with the configuration settings that the PHP web interface needs. Are there any suggestions as to what incantations I should put in this file? Is there a template or example that someone could post a link to please? The docs are silent on the subject.

    Have installed FC6 and Zabbix RPM's. So far I've cracked the PHP hoops and got stuck here....

    The web interface is asking about zabbix.conf.php but googling and searching the fora yeild silence on what should be in this file.

    Could someone post one please and I'll hack it about for my system.

    Thanks

    I'll answer my own post. Now I get it. The purpose of the php installation pages of the web interface is to generate zabbix.conf.php

    Man - thats counter-intuitive. I failed the intelligence test there!

    The scenario is this ->

    - I'm new to Zabbix,
    - but I've been around IT development for 20+ years,
    - I don't really know the significance of zabbix.conf.php, but there is a clue in the filename that suggests that it is a config file.
    - If so - what goes in it. I RTFM....use Google
    - The documentation is silent about whether I should 'concoct' this file...
    - the installation page says something about a failure connected with zabbix.conf.php,
    - I'm connected to the zabbix box remotely

    The install pages then offer to download a file to my local machine that is really supposed to go on the remote zabbix box.

    So I need to scp or ftp the file back where it came from.

    To add confusion to this, the local machine is XP, so saving locally, prior to scp or ftp'ing it back, will put CR LF in the file and really mess it up for when it gets back to the remote Zabbix box.

    I know the script is running as Apache on the remote box, but surely there must be a better solution to this......
