        it's not a LAN problem.
The agent for windows ver 1.4 and 1.4.1 stop responding to requests from the server after a while it may take a day or three but eventually it stops.
The server then lists the hosts with error: ZBX_TCP_READ() failed [Interrupted system call]

I have the same problem on one machine. When restarting the ZABBIX agent, it works again. This is on a Windows 2003 SP1 server.

Will try to catch the log file, when it stops. I loosed the last one, because I have been out of the office when it stopped.

Interestingly, the ZABBIX agent is logging further to his log file saying that it is sending information to the ZABBIX server...

              Hi, forum!
Where is the sources of the win32 client?
I can't to see where is it?
Or the client is only in exe format?
I did download "the sources", but, I find only the sources to build the installer, not the sources of the win32 client.
              Any idea?
I'd like to examine the source to detect where is the problem...

              TIA

Do you see any other messages apart of the ZBX_TCP_READ?

No, but I didn't try very hard to find an agent log that would show the problem. This error was displayed on the server side, when looking in the hosts table in the GUI.

I rolled back my agents to 1.3.8, if it would help I can switch one of them back to 1.4.1 and wait for it to happen again and try to catch the agent log file.

They are sources programs for the agent?
Can I download from any addresss?
I'd like to work in the solution...

Some problem with Zabbix 1.4.1 windows agent on a Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4 box.

                        Can't start the service anyway.

I think you need this: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;284996

It is documented in ZABBIX Manual 1.0 and, I guess, in 1.1.

                              Alexei,
To give you all the information I attached the log file. The log was created with DebugLevel=5.
you can search for "6540:20070704:101443" to see the place where the problem started.

I don't think it's directly related to this problem but what are all the "Call to PdhCollectQueryData() failed: No data to return." entried in the log?

Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
