    Zabbix Email Error

When an email is sent by Zabbix I get this error:
Error receiving answer on RCPT TO request [Success]

I believe it is a port issues but I am not sure, if it is a port issue how to I change the port that Zabbix use to sent emails out?

What is your version of ZABBIX? I think it was fixed in 1.4.1.

I believe I am using v1.4. I will try to upgrade to 1.4.1 and see if that fix the issue.

Please forgive me I am not the most knowledgeable on the email servers.

When you say that there is no response to the HELLO in 30sec, what does that mean?

This was left out of my pervous message.

There are two mail servers in use. One use port 250 for the smtp on the other uses port 25 for smtp. My email address will go to the server using port 250. I have setup Zabbix Server to use the Mail Server that is using port 25 for the smtp. I still get the same error as before.

If need more information I can supply. Please help!

what is your helo setting in zabbix configuration?
                you should use hostname.domain e.g. zabbixsrv1.mydomain.int

I Did change it from localhost to the name of my server. The Zabbix Server is not attach to the domain (which is a AD Domain) but does monitor the server on the domain.
After change the SMTP HELLO I tested it out and still the same error as before.

The Zabbix Server is great and does everything that I and the people I work for want it to do. The only issue is the email notification, which I hope to get resolved soon.

There has been some changes to my network over the weekend.
No Zabbix is using Exchange for the SMTP and the port is 250. How do I change the port that Zabbix Server uses for SMTP so I can use port 250 on Exchange. There is no other option, Exchange is now the only mail server that I have on the LAN. Please Help.

Replace 25 by 250 in email.c. The SMTP server's port number is not configurable currently.

Thanks Alexei. I was able to change the SMTP port but I am now trying to get exchange to authenticate the Zabbix server by following this http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthre...highlight=smtp.

Is there another way to authenticate Zabbix - I know that samba can do it but I do not have the time for that.
