Zabbix says host unavailable but it isn't

Hi all,

Hopefully a helping hand out there can point me in the right direction. There was a problem with one of our nodes that made it unceachable for an amount of time. Hoever it it now back, but for the life of me I cannot get Zabbix to recognise that this node (Cisco router) is now available again.

I've tried making the node unmonitored and then monitored again and have even restarted the server but no go. Heeelp!!

Is the agent behind a firewall? Are you using active checks?

it's not using an agent just snmpv1 to poll the router and pull what it needs from the mib table. I was able to do an snmp walk of the mib from the machine that zabbix is installed on. The router is definately reachable and available from the zabbix server it's just as though the zabbix server is refusing to poll it and whatever I do I cannot get it to start this process again.
