Zabbix Version Pre 1.4.2 (stable) Build 4452: Initial Log Creation Permission Problem

Found that if you do not have a log entry already in the tmp folder for zabbix_server.log or zabbix_agentd.log a new file will be created but there are no permissions on the file and a permission error occurs.

The files are getting created with a permission of "000" and not with a permission of "664". I just had to manually change the permisions with the cmod command.

I cannot reproduce this. How do you start ZABBIX daemons? Under user 'zabbix'?

Correct, I have a standard user accunt called Zabbix in Fedora 7 which has ownership of the executables:

My /tmp folder has the following permissions:

OS has not changed from 1.4.1 to 1.4.2. I will keep looking around to see if I can figure out what is going on.

I upgrade from 1.4.1 to 1.4.2....

same here with developers.php code but with

i've rewriten void redirect_std(const char *filename) in log.c like it was in 1.4.1 and now it works..
