    Bare LF issue with Qmail

I'm trying to configure an action to send a customized email but the email is not sent because of this error :

Wrong answer on end of data [451 See http://pobox.com/~djb/docs/smtplf.html. ]
Zabbix server 1.4.1 is running on Centos 4.5 and the mail server is Qmail.

What do I do wrong ?

    Thanks !

Hello and thank you for responding

I go to Configuration >> Actions >> Edit an action >> Operations >> New :

      Operation type : Send message
Send message to : single user (admin)
      Subject : {TRIGGER.NAME}: {STATUS}
Message : No matter what I'm writing, the error is always the same

      Thanks

Unfortunately, I've found no workaround for now

I also have the same problem. The only way I managed to get email actions to work was to reduce the message body to a single line.

Yes i try this in the past, and work......
But i think to be a bad "thing" all in one line......
However in this time i try to make a patch for correct the form that produce the email send with qmail.
As soon as i make it (hoping more soon possible, job allowing), i comunicate it into this forum.
In the event that someone of good will and with more time on hand than me, produced this to it patch, would be the welcome.
                Alexei are you there?

Yes, I am. I just do not see what ZABBIX does wrong.

                    Good Morning,

sorry for delay, but i'm in holiday for now

However the problem is that zabbix sends the emails in a format not standard that qmail doesn't accept (while other MTAs written by less paranoiac people of DJB rub). It would need that the function of dispatch mail of zabbix came patched not to send the end LF message not preceded by <CR>. (See http://pobox.com/~djb/docs/smtplf.html for more information)

I think that could be guilt of as the message he is composed, perhaps the form web when it saves the textual part of the message it doesn't put us the CR-LFs at the end. it would need to go to correct the file that is created and
what he is used then in the function of dispatch mail.

                    What's do you think Alexei?

Yes, I am. Actually we send almost everything correctly. Message body and subject should be converted to contain CR/LF instead of single CR. It will be fixed shortly.
