I've been running a zabbix server which polls about 50-60 hosts, with between 5 and 10 items on each. The problem is the housekeeping process. The database is about 12 gigs now, and when I start suckerd at this point, it thrashes at the hard drive for about 5 minutes until the MySQL times out and it dies. If I disable housekeeping in the suckerd config file, then everything works fine, but of course the database keeps growing endlessly. I set the histories to only last 180 days now, down from 365, but without the housekeeping working, it won't delete expired days. Any thoughts on how to fix this? I'm using the standard MySql config for a 512 mb box. If anyone wants to post their mysql config for a successful large db instance of Zabbix, that might help. Thanks.

Hello,
Thank you for getting back to me. I have few queries:
1. disable housekeeper for those>> housekeeper is used to clear the old data so disabling it means creating room to increase the database size. correct?
2. Please also Try MaxHousekeeperDelete parameter >> how it will help and what should be value?
3.It’s best to consider partitioning for history tables and to disable housekeeper for those. >> Let me know exact steps please
My issue is:
My zabbix server disk space started increasing recently. It was fine few months ago. i can see that history_uint.ibd table is using 300G appx disk space. Any idea why this table started consuming such huge amount recently? Any setting in zabbix needs to be tweaked?
