Server listening on one IP connections are coming from another

I have my Zabbix server listening on ip xxx.xxx.90.201 but I have other IPs on the box (different interface). For some reason on my agents the server cannot always connect. I see this error in the logs:

7714:20070819:133358 Listener error: Connection from [xxx.xxx.82.118] rejected. Allowed server is [xxx.xxx.90.201]

Now the fix could be to just add all the IPs on the zabbix servers interfaces to the configs for all the agents but is there another way to get the connections to come from the ip the zabbix server is listening on?

    I'm using FreeBSD 6.2

i'm dealing with pretty much the same issue
zabbix should only reply to clients with the ip it is listening on

haven't found a proper solution. is there anyone who has?

A new parameter, SourceIP, was introduced for ZABBIX 1.4.7 (not released yet) and next major release, 1.6. This parameter defines source IP address used for all outgoing connections.

I am not sure about release date yet. You may take the latest pre-1.4.7 from http://www.zabbix.com/developers.php. This is a vanilla 1.4.6 plus fixes and minor improvements.
