Remote Commands and Firewalls

Hello,
I successfully managed to make active checks work.
I need to work in active mode because I have to monitor a set of clients that are in internet and nobody knows if any port is blocked on the client side.
The problem is: how can I launch remote command on these clients ?
Is it possible to use such an active mode also for remote commands ?
