    configure fails on ubuntu

    Hi there,

just tried to set up the new version with jabber support.
    According to the manual

    ./configure --enable-server --enable-agent --with-mysql --with-net-snmp –--with-jabber –--with-libcurl

    should work.

    Unfortunatly im getting

checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
    configure: Configuring
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... (cached) yes
checking build system type... Invalid configuration `–--with-jabber': machine `–--with' not recognized
    configure: error: /bin/sh ./config.sub –--with-jabber failed

    Any ideas?

System is ubuntu Dapper, without libcurl and jabber everything works fine...

    TIA

This fixes the Jabber error on Ubuntu

See this thread for Ubuntu Zabbix + Jabber support fix during the compile:

The issue was that there is three dashes (---) in the documentation, it's a typo

          Yeah you're right

Sorry about that - just noticed that extra dash in this case. I still couldn't get it to work on Ubuntu with "--with-jabber" in my case I needed to specify "--with-jabber=/usr/" or the script could not find the lib for iksemel. Oh well, I guess I tried to hard on this particular post. That'll teach me...
