zabbix agent for windows 1.4.1, 1.4.2 install fails

Hi,

I have some problems to get that client installed.

I´m using those binaries delivered with zabbix, and try to install
the 32bit version.
I have done that with the older version , but the new version I can not run.

If I try in the DOS-Box
zabbix_agentd --install
This program cannot be run in DOS-Mode

I have tried also the 1.4.1 version with the same result.

Does anyone uses the binaries for windows?

It seems, that the files are damaged by ftp transfer only.

No. On my machines the zabbix_agentd.exe runs well.
Do you transfer the zabbix_agentd.exe via ftp from the zabbix_server?
Then you must do this in binary mode.

I solved the problem. I´m using a own VBS script,
that is installed on the server. With that script the servers are downloading the agent by ftp, install it or update the existing service.
It creates the necessary Zabbixagentd.conf file.
Somehow on my new zabbix server the ftp transfer, did not work
at the beginning, the BIN switch was used.

However it is solved and working fine for 2000 and 2003 servers.
