Guest user access rights problem (1.4.2).

I cant get guest user to see screens.
Guest user has read-only access to all hosts but can see no screens.
If i give user guest admin rights it can see screens but it can also edit screens as well which is too much rights for guest user.

Please help!

same goes for graphs, maps triggers, actions etc etc - almost all monitoring pages..

By going to guest user options and clicking on "Show".

I added guest user to guest group, and added all hosts groups to readonly access for that group.

Yet still guest user cannot see graphs and screens.

Hi,
I've the same problem. I've posted this in the zabbix help forum on 07-09-2007

I am loging as "guest" user (zabbix release 1.4.2). He has read permissions for some host groups. But I always get "no maps defined" or "no screen defined" for him.
So I tried to set read permissions for all host groups for him. Now I can see some (not all) screens but "no maps defined"
What could I have forgotten?

1.4.2 rights problem?

It's strange. If I create new hosts in a new hostgroup and a new map it's OK for that map. The user guest can see it (but he can't see no others).

Same problem for me too.
I and some other posted this problem long ago but still no solution for this.
I'll try to find the differences between imported maps/screens and the newly created to see if we could change something manually in the table...

Surfing into tables, I suspect that the table 'rights' is the one involved in this.
From data.sql I can see that is populated with:

INSERT INTO rights VALUES (1,1,0,0,0);
INSERT INTO rights VALUES (2,1,0,0,0);
INSERT INTO rights VALUES (3,2,0,0,0);

where columns are: rightid groupid type permission id

I did not find any link to users id or type or group.
Does anybody can tell us the meaning of those numbers?

More infos: I deleted the table 'rights' and everything works as before: Admin has full access and see anything (old & new) and Guest has no access in readonly...I'm lost...

I havce suspitions that something is wrong in database upgrade sql script. Because all my new hosts/graphs work fine, the problem seems like happening with graphs/hosts that were migrated from 1.1.7

I have the same problem.

After upgrading from 1.1.7 to 1.4.4, allworked fine for about 2 months and yesterday the guest account as well as all normal users got "No Permissions" on various screens.

Has anyone found a solution to this yet?
