Bug in log[] function

Hi all,

It's possibile that my zabbix (compiled by hand) does not recognize log[logfile] function?

Activating check for a logfile does not result in any check. I've turned agent in debug mode, no log check is done.

My zabbix is last version, 1.4.2 running on RHEL4 without curl and ldap.

Any hint?

Hi,
already read manual. I've checked all parameters, I've checked that agent and checked for DisableActive unset, but nothing.

Also I've turned on debug on agent side, but when I create control, associate it to a template, and linked template to host but agent log does not show anything.

Where can I check for more info?

this item is in template: Template_Log

My host has link with this template.

Monitoring -> latest data is empty... and should report every line I'll manually insert into /tmp/test.log

Test.log has 777 perm and of course /tmp is readable by zabbix user.

Check Server and Hostname in zabbix_agentd.conf as well!

Perhaps you are still dealing with this error

It is a long time ago for you,

But I have made a solution / tutorial for this.
In your case.. set the agent active... in the agent config file... and you are ready.

from 2009, are you still working with zabbix?? I am a newbie.. so perphaps you will / can help me with some stuff.
