Error when trying to access Zabbix

I have just installed Zabbix 1.0 on Redhat Linux 3.0 AS. When I attempt to connect for the first time I get the message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_pconnect() in /var/www/html/zabbix/include/db.inc.php on line 33

Can anyone help me with this?

Ur browser is not able to connect to mysql database.

chekc out for mysql.sock file and it's in respective directories and in php config file.

I hope it helps ..otherwise let me know.

It sounds more like your php installation doesn't have the mysql extensions enabled.
