    No zabbix_server and zabbix_agent commands

    Hi

I'm using CentOS 4.2 and trying to install Zabbix 1.4.2 (latest) server.

I used the tutorial here: http://howtoforge.org/zabbix_network_monitoring

My problem is that I don't have a system-wide command zabbix_server (user "zabbix". the root user has both commands). I also tried to compile all using the official documentation, the problem is still the same. What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you

It's normally installed into a directory that's not in your search path. Run the following if you don't have locate installed.

      find /usr | grep zabbix_server

That will then help you find the path to the executable. If you've installed the zabbix_(agent/server)_ctl init.d script you'll need to edit it with the appropriate path information too.
