    zabbix-1.4.3, snmp v3, SNMP error [1]

    Snmpwalk & snmpget works & can get info from device.
    "snmpget -On -v 3 -u user -l authPriv -A password -a SHA -X password -x DES ip_address IF-MIB::ifNumber.0" > ".1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0 = INTEGER: 103".

    when item is configured, status is "Not supported".
    zabbix_server.log - "Parameter [IF-MIB::ifNumber.0] is not supported by agent on host [ip_address] Old status [0]"

    I can monitor snmpv2.

    Gentoo linux, zabbix-1.4.3, compiled with server snmp, net-snmp 5.4.1-r1, compiled with ssl support.

    Did I miss something? :|

    It would probably be easier for us to help you, if you wrote how you configured the item in Zabbix

      sure thing!

      So, here it is:

      Description > IF-MIB::ifNumber.0
      Type > SNMPv3 agent
      SNMP OID > 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0
      SNMPv3 security name > MySuperName
      SNMPv3 security level > AuthPriv
      SNMPv3 auth passphrase > MySuperPassword
      SNMPv3 priv passphrase > MySuperPassword
      SNMP port > 161
      Key > IF-MIB::ifNumber.0
      Type of information > numeric integer 64bit
      Units >
      Use multiplier > none
      Store value > as is
      All other values > default.

      thank You for helping

        Zabbix doesn't support SHA.

        MD5 only.

        HTH.
