I read in this thread that a feature was to be implemented that would capture the current state of a trigger, so that it could be used to prevent flapping. Was this feature implemented in 1.4? I'm having difficulty understanding how I can use this to prevent trigger flapping.
My specific problem is with the "Processor Load Too High" trigger. When one of my hosts gets a high load it will flap ON/OFF constantly and I'd like to limit the number of times (say, once per hour) that the trigger can change states.
In the meantime I've switched to monitoring load5 instead of load1, with the thought that hopefully it "flaps" less. Any help would be appreciated if there's a better way to do this.
