Hello
I am facing a different problem. I installed a zabbix client on Windows machine, client has started successfully. I am using zabbix-1.4.2 server, server is running (Report Server Running Yes), but client in unable to available on server. There are no firewall restrictions.

First, I am going to suggest you use the 1.4.4 precompiled binary for Windows. It has worked for all my Windows systems so far where I have had problems with previous versions.

Second, I am assuming that since you got the install down that you have your configuration correct on the Windows zabbix_agent.conf as well as on the server. I would like for you to check on the server if you can ping the dns name that you gave it for the Windows box.
Just open a command prompt on the Linux server and
ping yourcomputer.yourdomain.(org|net|com|ect)
and then do the same on the windows side
ping yourserver.yourdomain.(org|net|com|ect)

I know I sounds kinda silly, but I have had it more times then I care to recount. One system doesn't see the other's DNS name. Maybe its just our networks and weird vlans but that is always the first thing I check now.

If this doesn't work for you. Post your conf files as well as your zabbix configuration. I don't know if I will find the problem, but I will certainly take a look.

The problem is solved, I entered the FQDN and IP of windows machine in /etc/hosts file and then its became available.
