Web Interface takes too long to open

    Hi.!
When i access Zabbix using the front end, the configuration pages open up taking usual time.
But when i try to open the Monitoring section, the web page gets stuck up and takes a long time to open.
Apache processes remain the same and i donot see any error on Apache logs...
    Any suggestions ?

    Hi,

What database engine are you using ?
if Mysql, i recommend you using one of the default configuration file [ like the medium/large one ].

Cause if mysql hasn't got enough memory to work, performances get disastrous !

      i am using Mysql.
Earlier the configuration file was medium.
I changed it to Large to equal 512 MB, but i still don't see any considerable change in performance.

        Check:

        - Large config for mysql doesnt automagically phys increase mem in server. how much phys mem does the server has compared to the config?
        - Are you running apache and mysql on the same server?
        - How many monitored hosts / items (if lots, the above is . . . less desirable)
        - when this is happening, check the resource usage of mysql (top, iostat, etc)
        - check mysql processlist: mysql> show processlist;

and ofcourse when creating the database (or dumping / restoring), edit the schema.sql / dump file and make sure the InnoDB storage engine is used when creating the tables.

Apache is rarely the bottleneck (its more of a catalyst ). The database is heavily used and when queried for large / many resultsets can make response feel slow / dieing.
