Zabbix Server not running on VMWare

Hello
I have installed zabbix-1.4.2 on a VMWare virtual machine. During the installation I received no error, but now the problem is that the Zabbix server is not running. But on the same physical mechine zabbix is running. I am using RHEL 4.4 on the physical mechine and same on virtual machine. Can any one try to solve this issue?

I have Zabbix-1.4.5 runnning in the same environnement as you. From my experience, when zabbix_server didn't wanted to start, it was to the database connection (bad configuration in zabbix_server.conf or db deamon not started)
Did you see the zabbix_server.log tu understand why zabbix_server is not running ?

I have run on CentOS 4.x (same as RHEL 4.x) on bothe VMWare Server (free version) and ESX with no issues. VMware is not the issue, it must be something with the config.

I am also running the free version of VMware server under CentOS. Everything works, except it keeps HORRIBLE time, as mentioned in other threads. A minute interval is never actually a minute, stuff times out all of the time.
