Total number of Login Users in Windows

I want to monitor that how many users are Logged In at a time on a Windows server. I tried the "system.users.num" item but its not supported. Any solution...

I think your best bet would be to use the perfmon item which counts the used terminal services sessions.

perf_counter["\Terminal Services\Active Sessions"]
perf_counter["\Terminal Services\Inactive Sessions"]

I try it in two ways but its not supporting

PerfCounter=LogInWindowUsers, "\Terminal Services\Active Sessions"
This gave me a value once but after few seconds the item become not supported automatically.

This command is also not supported.
perf_counter=LogIn["\Terminal Services\Active Sessions"]

So, any other idea.

Zabbix passive perf_counter

Morning,
I'm not using it as a local-agent perf counter. Mine are all setup like a normal windows performance counter for zabbix.

Description: Connections: terminal server active sessions
Type: ZABBIX agent
Key: perf_counter["\Terminal Services\Active Sessions"]
Type of information: Numeric (integer 64bit)
Update interval (in sec): 600
Store value: As Is

What version of zabbix are you using?

We use proc.num["explorer.exe"] to retrieve that value.

perf_counter["\Terminal Services\Active Sessions"] as key is not supported in zabbix-1.1.7 and 1.4.2

proc.num["explorer.exe"] is generating only 1 as result in 1.1.7 and also 1.4.2. So its not working properly.

Question, is that a TS server? Normaly 1 session = 1 explorer ... Whiches working really fine for me ...

perf_counter["\Terminal Services\Active Sessions"]
is ok when u try to monitor the amount of terminal server sessions, but if
u want to monitor the sessions using the file or print service try querying the server object with perf_counter["\Server\Sessions"]

keep in mind, that the name of the counter depends on the installed language.

Upgrade the agents to ZABBIX 1.4.6 and the problems with the suddenly "Unsupported" performance counters will go away.
Just my experience, did it a few weeks ago for the same reason.
