    you can make zabbix_sender more verbose and also check the zabbix_server.log for errors (set it to level 4 or 5).
    Please try to reproduce the problem and post the verbose output of zabbix_sender and zabbix_server.log part of the error.

      After about one day the problem remerge. I have set the zabbix server log to 4 (max) and I don't see anything.
      Verbose sender say:
      zabbix_sender [27350]: Warning: Timeout while executing operation

      suggestion?

        I have seen this happen when you have too many events being sent in and your trappers are too low (can be configured in your /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf file).

        This may not be the problem if you are only sending a few events in (where as I was sending many at a time with only 5 trappers).

        If you are not sending a lot of data via the zabbix_sender then I am not sure what might be the problem. How is load on the system? Is MySQL or Zabbix using a lot of processing/memory? Do other things, like agents, still report correctly? Will this happen everytime you run zabbix_sender?

        The more details you can provide the easier it will be to figure out

        Have fun!

          Hi,

          I`m have the same error and the scenario is:

          - shell script takes data, proccess and send (whith zabbix_sender) to server;
          - the script colect and send ~350 itens;
          - we put a 'sleep' (0,1 or 2 seconds) between each send;
          - in 'zabbix_server.conf' :
          ===
          # Number of pre-forked instances of trappers
          # Default value is 5
          # This parameter must be between 0 and 255
          StartTrappers=60
          ===
          - in log file (debug) we dont identify any thing related whith trapper;

          I'm using oracle in backend.
